Dr Beatriz García is an independent researcher and strategic advisor on cultural policy, cities and major events. For 27 years she has studied who gets to tell the story of a place – at every Olympic Games since Sydney 2000, at World Expos and international art festivals, and across the European Union's longest-running cultural programme, whose selection panel she chaired for the European Commission.
