What they're bringing

Suzy Easton, Vancouver musician and technologist. She solders her own pedals, hides the circuits inside repurposed appliances, and treats AI as one more instrument to play rather than a thing to prompt.

About

About Suzy Easton

Suzy Easton is a born and raised Vancouver musician and technologist. She holds certificates in Digital/Analog Recording Arts from Columbia Academy and Music Technology from Douglas College. After a recording instructor asked her to pick up the bass and join Seafoam, she spent years playing and touring Vancouver’s indie and punk scenes, and with Minto she recorded the band’s 2009 album Lay It on Me with Steve Albini at Electrical Audio. She later taught herself to solder and began building and modifying guitar pedals, sometimes putting the circuits inside repurposed bread toasters. Alongside more than a decade in software QA and technical operations, she now experiments with AI as a musical tool for analyzing, generating, and reshaping sound.
