Futureproof Origin 2026 -- one stage, one room, 300 people, Halloween weekend -- was the proof of concept. We validated the demand, built the speaker network, and proved what Vancouver can host. In 2027, we run the whole thing: six days of deep-track programming across multiple venues, the evening events, the Film Festival, the Squatchies, all of it. Origin was the Kickstarter. 2027 is the festival.

300-person proof becomes full-week festival
Origin demonstrated willingness-to-pay at the higher price band and gave us the credibility to scale. 2027 opens the doors to the broader community that Origin had to leave on the cutting room floor.
Single track expands to six tracks
Each track runs its own full day with its own steward, its own room, and its own community. Education, Life Sciences, Data Nerds, MAC, Ethics, Film -- each one a day-long gathering in its own right, stitched together into one festival week.
One venue becomes multi-venue
Origin proved the anchor venue. 2027 spreads across Vancouver -- partner venues, evening event spaces, and the Film Festival closing night all becoming part of the same week-long footprint through the city.
