2026 media program
Media accreditation for people doing real editorial work.
We welcome staff journalists, freelancers, photographers, podcasters, and independent outlets with a real editorial track record and a specific coverage plan. Accreditation is for working media. It is not a free attendee pass.
Freelance and production
Freelancers and production crew with recent work plus an assignment note, editor or producer contact, or equivalent evidence.
Independent editorial
Independent journalists, podcasts, newsletters, and editorial creators with recent relevant work, a track record of publishing, and a specific plan for covering Futureproof Festival.
Who this is not for
PR, marketing, sales, business development, sponsor or exhibitor personnel, brand-content teams, general social-media staff, guests, and applicants primarily seeking free attendance are not eligible.
Working credential
Clear access, clear boundaries.
Media accreditation is for working coverage. Every credential is named, reviewed, and non-transferable. It does not include a guest or +1.
Included
- Entry for the October 29–30 program days.
- October 28 opening-night access only when requested and relevant to the coverage plan.
- Handheld still photography from approved public positions without flash or obstruction.
Not included
- A guaranteed seat, interview, backstage or greenroom access, private-event access, travel, lodging, or special hospitality.
- Livestreaming, full-session recording, screenings, performances, professional video or audio rigs, lights, tripods, or cabling without separate written approval.
- Access beyond the dates printed on the credential.

Recording rules
- Handheld still photography is allowed from approved public positions without flash or obstruction.
- Livestreaming, full-session recording, screenings, performances, professional video or audio rigs, lights, tripods, or cabling require separate written approval.
- Session-specific no-recording instructions override the general credential.
No strings attached
Editorial independence
- Approval depends on your editorial role, the work you can show us, the access you need, and what the venue can support. Your viewpoint is not part of the decision.
- Accreditation does not guarantee coverage, and we will never ask to approve your copy. We may ask for published links afterward so we can understand the program's reach.
All credential holders must follow the Futureproof Festival code of conduct. Operational or safety restrictions apply evenly, regardless of outlet or viewpoint.
Priority deadline
October 9, 2026
Complete applications received by this date receive a decision within five business days.
Late applications
Through October 23, 2026
Late applications are reviewed as space and operating capacity permit.

Every reporter, photographer, producer, or crew member needs a separate named application.
Application
Show us the work and the plan.
We collect only what we need to verify editorial purpose and plan the access you need. Your evidence and editor or producer contact details stay in a private review queue. Website analytics never receive them.
Rejected applications and private verification details are deleted by January 31, 2027. After the festival, we keep only the minimum needed for program records. Read the full privacy notice.
