2026 media program

Media accreditation for people doing real editorial work.

We welcome credible staff journalists, freelancers, photographers, podcasters, and independent editorial outlets. Accreditation supports working coverage. It is not a complimentary attendee pass.

Staff editorial

Staff reporters, editors, critics, and photojournalists with a publication email, masthead, author page, or recent byline.

Freelance and production

Freelancers and production crew with recent work plus an assignment note, editor or producer contact, or equivalent evidence.

Independent editorial

Independent journalists, podcasts, newsletters, and editorial creators with recent relevant work, credible distribution history, and a specific coverage plan.

Who this is not for

PR, marketing, sales, business development, sponsor or exhibitor personnel, brand-content teams, general social-media staff, guests, and applicants primarily seeking free attendance are not eligible.

Working credential

Clear access, clear boundaries.

Media accreditation supports working coverage. It is not a complimentary attendee pass. Every credential is named, reviewed, non-transferable, and has no guest or +1 entitlement.

Included

  • Entry for the October 29–30 program days and ordinary working hospitality available on those days.
  • October 28 opening-night access only when requested and relevant to the coverage plan.
  • Handheld still photography from approved public positions without flash or obstruction.

Not included

  • A guaranteed seat, interview, backstage or greenroom access, private-event access, travel, lodging, or special hospitality.
  • Livestreaming, full-session recording, screenings, performances, professional video or audio rigs, lights, tripods, or cabling without separate written approval.
  • Access beyond the dates printed on the credential.
Photo, video, and audio

Recording rules

  • Handheld still photography is allowed from approved public positions without flash or obstruction.
  • Livestreaming, full-session recording, screenings, performances, professional video or audio rigs, lights, tripods, or cabling require separate written approval.
  • Session-specific no-recording instructions override the general credential.
No strings attached

Editorial independence

  • Approval is based on editorial role, evidence, operational feasibility, and available space, never expected viewpoint or positive coverage.
  • We may ask for published links afterward for impact reporting. Publication is not guaranteed, and copy approval is never required.

All credential holders must follow the Futureproof Festival code of conduct. Operational or safety restrictions apply evenly, regardless of outlet or viewpoint.
