About Loki Jorgenson
Loki Jorgenson is CTO and Director of Innovation at Circle Innovation, where he runs funded programs that help small companies get past their barriers to innovation. Before that came about nine companies over 22 years in Vancouver and the Bay Area, as CTO or chief scientist at firms like LionsGate Technologies and AppNeta, building predictive systems he says we might now call AI. He holds a PhD in computational physics from McGill. He also convenes MAC (Mind, AI & Consciousness), the BC + AI reading group that has held thirteen deep dives on what AI can teach us about consciousness. He has built these systems and still treats what happens inside them as an open question.
