What they're bringing

I’m Kris Krüg, founder of Futureproof and executive director of BC + AI. I started this festival to get artists, builders, skeptics, and curious weirdos into the same room to compare notes, disagree, and figure out what the hell we’re going to do with AI together.

What you'll walk out with

The shape of the whole three days and why I put these particular people next to each other. Then I get out of the way.

About

About Kris Krüg

Kris Krüg is a photographer, creative technologist, and community builder. He has spent two decades documenting technology, art, activism, and the back rooms where culture actually changes, on a public trail that runs through National Geographic, CBC, SXSW, TEDxOilSpill, and the Olympics. He leads the BC + AI Ecosystem Association and the Vancouver AI Meetup, and co-instructs the Responsible AI Professional certification program. He started the meetups because he wanted this festival and had no community yet. Most of his work now points at one question: how do we use AI to increase human capacity instead of flattening human judgment?

  3. Friday · October 30
    9:00–9:05 AM

Thursday was where we are. Today is what we build.

Five minutes from Kris to turn the corner. Thursday was where we are. Friday is what we build.

  4. Friday · October 30
    7:30–10:00 PM

    Closing Party

Music, art, and the conversations that are not ready to end. It's in your pass. Lights out at ten.

On stage with Philippe Pasquier and Charles Bicari.
