About Philippe Pasquier
Philippe Pasquier is a French-Canadian artist, researcher, and professor at Simon Fraser University, where he directs the Metacreation Lab. His work explores the intersection of artificial intelligence, computational creativity, and the arts, with a particular focus on human–AI co-creation. For more than two decades, he has developed creative AI systems for music, visual arts, and interactive media, exhibiting and performing internationally at festivals, museums, and conferences. His research combines artistic practice with critical inquiry, investigating how AI can augment (not replace) human creativity while fostering new forms of cultural expression.
