What they’re bringing

Sev Geraskin, founding VP of engineering at PolarGrid and president of the Economy of Wisdom Foundation. He’ll get into distributed AI infrastructure, community intelligence and who gets to shape the systems underneath all this.

An honest bill for running AI at real scale: what survives the trip from demo to production, and what it costs to keep it running.

About

About Sev Geraskin

Sev Geraskin is co-founder and VP of Engineering at PolarGrid, which runs AI inference on GPU nodes at the network edge, close to users, so voice agents answer without the lag of a distant cloud. He has spent more than 25 years building systems; at Mastercard he expanded distributed data services 100x and cut cloud costs by 75%. He is also president of the Economy of Wisdom Foundation, a Vancouver research society. With co-researcher April Ai he interviewed 51 Downtown Eastside residents about what AI should learn from people, and 43% named compassion, care, or kindness. He works on how the machines run and on whose values they carry.
