About

About Alexandra Samuel

Alexandra Samuel is a journalist and technologist whose AI stories appear frequently in The Wall Street Journal and Harvard Business Review. Her forthcoming book, Working Neurosmart (Simon Acumen, April 2027), shows how to conquer overload by using AI to work the way you're wired, drawing on decades of research on neurodiversity. She built a custom AI coach named Viv and made a TVO podcast about their relationship, Me + Viv, songs about AI ethics included. In 2005 she and her partner launched Social Signal, one of the first social media agencies. She works from Vancouver, wishes she had worried more about social media back then, and writes about how to use AI as an agent rather than a subject.
